WHY I STARTED CHECKED IN
I realized some of the best parts of traveling aren’t always the big attractions or perfectly planned itineraries. Sometimes it’s a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with the best food you’ve ever had, a small town that feels like a Hallmark movie, or a weekend that leaves you feeling a little more rested than when you arrived.
I’ve always loved places with character. The ones that feel warm, lived in, and worth slowing down for. Checked In became a place to collect experiences like those.
This isn’t about luxury for the sake of luxury or checking places off a list. It’s about finding the kinds of places you end up talking about later, recommending to friends, or thinking about long after you’ve gone home.
